Please take the survey before it closes at midnight on 1/31/20 by clicking on the headline for the link. Please note: The survey needs to be completed in one sitting. We ask that one member of each household fill out the survey. If you have more than one child who attends the same school, you may respond to the survey multiple times - one time per child. If you write any comments, please do not include your name or anything else that might identify you. Your responses are anonymous, and they will be combined with the responses of other parents and guardians before being shared back with school and district leadership. We sincerely thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Your response is incredibly valuable to us. If you have any questions about the survey, or our plans for how we will use your feedback, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. *Third through 6th grade parents, please note that your child's class will be taking the YouthTruth Student survey as well. This data will be used to help update the school's comprehensive safety plan. It's also an anonymous survey and will take about 10 minutes.

As an alternative to sweet treats in the classroom, the school would like to encourage items like books and pencils for celebrations. Non-food rewards and incentives should be used as the first choice to encourage positive behavior.

Just a reminder that the kinder playground is closed after school because there is no supervision. It is difficult for the teachers on parking lot duty to tell who is being supervised and who is not when parents are present. This creates safety issues and the school can be held liable. Students playing on the kindergarten playground will be reminded to wait in the designated area for pick up.

Have you noticed the fence art up at the bus loop? BE KIND is not just a catch phrase here, it's something we need to strive for as a school community. Thank you to a group of dedicated parents who donated this sign in our school colors. It was a fun project to help put together. There will be a similar one put up on the fence down by the service gate.

Parents of 6th graders - you will need to provide documentation that your child had a Tdap (whooping cough) booster shot given on or after 7 years old. Our goal is to have ALL 6th grade students provide this documentation before the end of May. If you haven't done so already, check your child's immunization record or call your physician to find out when they last had a Tdap vaccination. Once the shot is completed, bring in the immunization record to the school office so we can document that the requirement has been completed. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL SUMMER TO COMPLETE THIS REQUIREMENT.
